Illustration display style shows dotted line artifact of surface elements in one drawing and does not in another.
My composite model to which a site plan drawing is referenced shows numerous surface elements correctly as seen by the light green lawn area in the lower center of this isometric window with the "illustration" Display Style set and Default lighting seen. The lawn renders in this mode correctly with the edges of all the surfaces obeying the perimeter geometry. See this screen shot:
However when I open the original reference file to work on it and set up a window with what I believe to be the same attributes, etc. I get some underlying dashed grid that shows in the "illustration" setup (see the screenshot below.) This bewilders me. I cannot find a setting which will turn off this grid in the window. It also occurs in my top view working window and makes editing very difficult.
Can anyone explain what is happening and how to turn off this dashed grid display in any give display setup?
